SV Hospitality Innovation lab (SHIL) is Nigeria’s first innovation lab dedicated to novel hospitality solutions. The innovation lab is located within SV Chrome Hotels in Jabi, Abuja and managed in partnership with CcHUB Nigeria, the pioneer innovation center in Nigeria. The lab would serve as a test bed and community for hospitality innovators in Nigeria.
We have observed that innovators creating solutions for the hospitality industry in Nigeria typically build in isolation from the hotels and guests who are the end-users of the solution. We want to provide these teams with the access to hotel infrastructure, customers, and other resources needed to build solutions that solve a clear problem for hotels and their guests.
SHIL is a 4-month prototyping program that would support innovators to transform their ideas/MVP into working products and provide an ready market for them test these solutions. The innovation lab also hosts a co-working space for entrepreneurs, technologists, students, freelancers and innovators in Abuja to work out from.
Teams would get access to:
- 45 rooms (33 smart rooms, 6 Deluxe rooms and 6 Suites) in SV Chrome Hotel and its customers for prototyping
- Pre-incubation support and possible funding up to $5,000 from CcHUB
- Industry insights from experts within IMPACTO Group (SV Chrome Hotels' parent Company)
- A uniquely designed office space, internet and other utilities
- $3,000 worth of AWS Credits and products credits from Hubspot and Zendesk
- Startups that show considerable traction would get fast tracked access to CcHUB’s Incubation program with up to $25,000 in funding and potential funding up to $250, 000 from Growth Capital by CcHUB
We are looking for teams that:
- Have a MVP/idea for an innovative hospitality solution
- Have founders committed full-time with at least one technical person on their team
- Are based in Abuja or are willing to move to Abuja for the 4 month program
Note: Startups accepted into this program would receive these benefits in exchange for 7% equity.
